Colombian municipality of the department of Cesar, located in the northwestern region of the department. To the north it borders with the municipality of El Copey, to the east with the jurisdiction of the city of Valledupar, to the south with the municipality of El Paso, and to the west with the department of Magdalena (separated by the river Ariguani). Also, its name was in honor of Don Bosco, an Italian saint and educator founder of the Salesians, who arrived in Colombia in 1891.
